JAMES PIDGEON BA (Hons)

I am a Filmmaker from London, working within the roles of Directing and Cinematography, specialising in documentary, fiction film and film advertising. I am currently a freelance filmmaker and work in film advertising for Akro Media. Ive just finished a Filmmaking BA degree at Kingston School of Art attaining a the grade of Upper Second Class with Honours. Throughout the process of my degree where I was able to polish my filmmaking skills in different areas and roles as well as expanding my knowledge and ideas.

During my time at Kingston School of Art I also enrolled and completed an ARRI Accreditation course in Camera systems. Giving me the fundamental experience in order to operate ARRI camera systems which I used in one of my latest films.

In the past few years I have worked on all types of genre films giving me wide experience working also with the BFI and YFA. Between studying and filming, I am travelling and exploring the world which further inspires my future films and creative process.

I studied Filmmaking at Kingston School of Art, part of Kingston University London. Where I completed my degree being awarded a Second Upper Class (2:1) with Honours.

2019

BFI Film Academy

YFA Qualification

In 2019 I enrolled at the BFI Film Academy. This is where I was first taught how to make a professional short film. I was taught by professionals in the industry and worked with professional actors. The film was then shown at the BFI. from this I received a YFA Qualification.
